The study examines the key premise that there is a direct and positive correlation between the escalating severity of climate change and the amplified threats and hazards to various aspects of national security in Asian countries, mainly economic, human, political, and environmental security. It discusses the significant strategies and initiatives that certain Asian nations have devised to address, mitigate, and adapt to the consequences of these changes on their national security. Using qualitative descriptive analysis and a comprehensive approach, the study attempts to draw overarching conclusions that can serve as a foundation for future applied studies in diverse regions beyond Asia. Furthermore, it offers recommendations, suggestions, and insights derived from the Asian context to inform environmental policymakers in Egypt on enhancing the effectiveness and efficacy of their policies in dealing with the challenges posed by climate change. The study produced several findings, with the most significant being that the adverse effects of climate change compromise the elements and aspects of national security in many developing Asian nations. This is manifested through increased environmental degradation, depletion of limited natural resources, large-scale human migration, damage to infrastructure, deterioration of public health and quality of life, economic stagnation, the inability of state institutions to fulfill their roles and implement effective policies, rising influence of extremist and terrorist groups that oppose state authority, and weakened state capacity to uphold stability and national security. The study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between developed nations and developing Asian countries to mitigate the threats posed by climate change, which jeopardizes both global security and the national security of these vulnerable nations.
