Publishing in the journal undergoes the following process:
- Submission
- The Journal accepts research and studies in different disciplines for publication on the journal's website on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
- The researcher submits the full research paper under the scope of the journal, within (5,000-7,000) words, exceptions are made for research of a special analytical nature, and the researcher also submits an abstract in English and Arabic of (150-250) words each.
- Research and studies submitted for publication should include an analytical tool - quantitative or qualitative- and the research should add a scientific value in the respective discipline.
- The researcher is committed to the rules of scientific publishing and formatting stipulated in the authors' guide.
- The researcher is committed to the rules of scientific integrity and plagiarism not to exceed 10%.
- In case of the use of survey or any analytical tool, a complete version shall be submitted, if not included in the research.
- Assessment
- The research undergoes an anonymous double-peer review process to ensure impartiality, efficiency, and transparency. The research is evaluated by an external review committee nominated by the Editor-in-Chief. The committee is composed of two scholars with adequate relative experience in the respective discipline.
- The external review committee evaluates the validity of the research for publishing based on the evaluation form sent to the reviewers with the research. The reviewers shall write a detailed report on the research to determine its validity.
- The external reviewing process takes 5 to 6 weeks.
- Modification
- The reviewers' reports are sent to the Journal's Executive Committee to make the decision of publishing according to several scenarios:
- Reviewers' acceptance of the research without any modifications
The Journal's Executive Committee sends the final acceptance letter to the researcher signed by the Editor-in-Chief or his designated authority. Then, the publishing process is completed.
- Reviewers' acceptance of the research with some modifications
The Journal's Executive Committee sends the modifications to the researcher to make and upload, one week from the date of sending to him/her, on the journal's website https://ijppe.journals.ekb.eg/journal/process?lang=en. If all modifications are covered, the Editor-in-Chief sends the final letter of acceptance to the researcher. Then, the publishing process is completed.
If modifications are not made, the researcher is given a final extra one (1) week time extension, otherwise, the research will be rejected.
- One reviewer accepts and the second rejects the research
In this case, the Editor-in-Chief resolves its final acceptance or rejection. In both cases, the Editor-in-Chief notifies the researcher accordingly.
- Reviewers' rejection of the research
In this case, an apology letter is sent to the researcher stating the rejection of publishing.
4. Publishing Procedures
- The two external reviewers must declare the validity of the research for publishing after researcher's compliance with the required modifications within the deadline (1 week from the date of receiving the modifications, in addition to another 1 week to implement the modifications). Failure to comply with the deadlines signifies that the research will be rejected, without any need for notifications.
-
The publishing is free.
- The researcher will receive a digital PDF version of the research after publishing.
- The accepted research papers, complying with the set-out timeframe, shall be published, and the journal is released in its final form, after undergoing the following technical operations:
