The green economy has become increasingly important for both developed and developing countries in recent years. It plays a vital role in conserving natural resources and achieving sustainable development goals while helping reduce waste, pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. This study explores how the green economy contributes to sustainable development in Egypt. The researcher used descriptive-analytical and quantitative approaches, employing the vector autoregression (VAR) model. Various indicators of the green economy, such as forest resource revenues, value added in the agricultural sector, total revenues from natural resources, renewable energy, combustible waste, and annual withdrawals of fresh water for industrial purposes, were tested in relation to sustainable development in Egypt across economic, social, and environmental dimensions from 2000 to 2020, based on available data and statistics. The study found a significant statistical relationship between green economy indicators and the economic and environmental dimensions of sustainable development in Egypt, but no statistically significant relationship with the social dimension of sustainable development in Egypt.
