The Role of Civil Society Organizations in Post-Conflict Societies: Iraq as a Model (Arabic)

Civil society organizations have played an important role in Iraq, especially in the process of democratization and their role in solving the problems arising from the sectarian conflict and the political crises that Iraq has been witnessing since 2003. The problem of the study is that it seeks to analyze and understand the role played by civil society organizations during the stages that societies and countries go through, conflicts, and security and social problems, including Iraq. several questions are raised on this topic, including: what does the concept and term "society organization" mean?- What is it relationship to societies experiencing conflicts and crises?-  How did civil society organizations arise and develop in Iraq in light of the political changes that the country has witnessed?- What are the roles played by civil society organizations in light of the conflicts and security turmoil in the Iraqi arena?- The study also relied in on two methodologies of scientific research in political science, namely the descriptive and the analytical, through which it is possible to gather the information needed by the study, and then analyze it and reach conclusions. The study is divided into several areas: Civil society organizations in the post-conflict stages: the concept and roles, the emergence and development of civil society organizations in Iraq, and the roles of civil society organizations in Iraq.
